COVID 19 Precautionary Measures 

State Regulations set by Governor Phil Murphy of New Jersey during this Pandemic. We require all teams / coaches / players / staff / attendees to abide to the following Safety Plan for All Events Indefinitely

These Guidelines will remain in place for indoor and outdoor activities. If the State of NJ has opened up indoor gymnasiums October 2020​. All Guidelines will apply regardless! 

JUMP START PROGRAM / PRACTICE FOR TRAVEL AAU COVID-19 GUIDELINES

  • All Coaches / Staff are Required to wear a mask during training / practice
  • NO Spectators are allowed to attend tryouts / practice. When registering your child you are required to wear a mask / must remain outside of court area as directed by Coach / Staff
  •  All Players must wear mask when entering indoors provided by Wizards Basketball or a mask that will be examined prior to start of training. After screening is done, player can remove mask. Player can continue to wear mask during entire training / practice / tryouts but is not mandatory.
  • Temperature of players, coach and staff will be taken before every session. if temperature is 38.5 degrees Celsius (100.5 Fahrenheit) or higher, that individual will be sent home. ​
  • Wizards Basketball will add additional time between games for staff to clean & sanitize the space.
  • Wizards Basketball encourages individuals considered "high risk" to please stay home

  •  Parents / Guardians / Athletes must depart the facility / park etc directly after their training / tryouts / practice session is over. If a huddle takes place we will practice social distancing during our sessions or practice
  •  Parents / Athletes will enter the park / gym No Earlier than 15 minutes before start of practice / games                                        (even if 1st scheduled session or practice of the Day).
  •  NO Spectators allowed inside of gym.
  • We will enforce these guidelines to help reduce the spread of Covid19.           
  •  Hand Sanitizer will be available at all training / practice / games. All players are required to sanitize their hands before, after and during each session. Game Balls / all Equipment will be sanitized before and after each session or practice.
  •  Coaches / Staff will refrain from up close instruction towards athletes, they will practice social distancing 

​TRAVEL  AAU TOURNAMENT GAMES COVID-19 GUIDELINES (After July 11th)
  • All Staff, team admins will take Temperature of players / coach  before every Tournament game. Opposing team will also be checked. If temperature is 38.5 degrees Celsius (100.5 Fahrenheit) or higher, that individual will be sent home or asked not to participate.
  • (If ban of no spectators is lifted.) All Fans over the age of 3 MUST wear a mask & maintain social distancing (6 feet) at all times 

  •  Players must wear masks into and out of all Tournament Game Facilities. Masks must remain on during warmups and while sitting on bench. Masks can only by taken off while in the game. can be taken off once in facility. Players may continue to wear masks during the games, but it is not mandatory.
  • Hand Sanitizer will be available at all score tables. All players are required to sanitize their hands before and after each game and whenever they enter the game. Game Balls will be sanitized before, during and after each game.
  • Any face to face arguing by an official or a coach will result in an removal!
  • Wizards Basketball encourages individuals considered "high risk" to please stay home
  • Wizards Basketball suggests using credit card to pay for seasonal fees / fundraising but cash will remain an option.  
  • If the ban is lifted "The number of spectators permitted in the venues will be determined by guidelines set by organizers of tournament and leagues
  •  Teams, Coaches and Spectators must depart the facility directly after their game is over. There will be NO Post or Pre Game Bench/coach Meetings or huddles.
  • Teams / Coaches will enter the facility/gym No Earlier than 15 minutes before their games (even if 1st Game of the Day).
  • Sanitizer will always be available at scorers table.
  • Spectators will be encouraged to seat within social distancing rules (6 feet).
  • These guidelines will be enforced These guidelines to help reduce the spread of Covid-19.
